Known for his depth of experience in the commercial finance space, Dan Batterman represents banks, finance companies, factors, investment banks and other equity and credit providers in secured and cash-flow lending, and a wide range of other finance transactions.
Dan structures, negotiates and documents complicated business finance transactions, including acquisitions, refinancing, debtor-in-possession financing and trade finance. With his trademark calm and measured manner, he counsels clients on general secured lending matters and specialty finance products such as mortgage warehouse lending, health care, artwork, receivables purchase transactions, and true sales.
Over his many years of practice, Dan has developed an extensive knowledge of intercreditor issues and other areas that impact financing, including bankruptcy law and cross-border issues. He guides his clients smoothly through strategic workouts and restructurings.
A significant component of Dan’s work is international, including trade finance work in Europe and Asia involving receivables, purchase transactions, letters of credit, cross border facilities and other matters. As the FinTech and non-traditional lending spaces continue to develop adjacent to the commercial finance space, Dan helps his clients remain informed and agile.
