Drew Moore combines drive with strategic and practical litigation strategies to resolve disputes as efficiently as possible.

Drew represents businesses and the financial partners that allow them to grow. He has litigated claims on behalf of biotech companies, major manufacturers, entrepreneurs, and lenders in a wide range of litigation matters, including those involving privacy, breach of contract, products liability, and insurance coverage claims. Defending novel claims — including privacy matters arising under the Illinois Biometric Information Privacy Act (BIPA) and the Genetic Information Privacy Act (GIPA) — is one area of focus and growth in his practice.

Drew has taken a lead role in resolving several multimillion-dollar privacy defense claims for clients, including those arising under BIPA and GIPA. Whereas some may take a more passive approach to these novel and unsettled areas of the law, Drew is fully engaged in monitoring new developments to craft new defenses and well-researched briefs and arguments on his clients’ behalf. Hyper-focused on winning for his clients, Drew never loses sight of their goals and will tailor his strategies and tactical moves accordingly.

Drew’s prior roles include in-house experience as a senior analyst in Black Entertainment Television’s (BET) legal department. In that position, Drew managed the rights and clearances process for over 150 programs including supporting BET’s new digital platforms, researched rights issues, and negotiated content-related contracts including music licenses, talent deals, and vendor service agreements. Drew also provided investigative support to BET’s litigation team.

From his years inside a major corporation, Drew learned the importance of adopting a client-centered, forward-thinking approach to resolving issues while being prepared to rapidly respond to emergencies. His goal: handle disputes so that his clients can focus on growing and managing their businesses as he sets them up for a favorable resolution.

I played rugby in college and have carried that spirit of competition forward throughout my life and career. While the sport both demands and develops individual resilience and focus, it also teaches you teamwork. I am also an avid fitness enthusiast and reader — in my free time, you are very likely to find me “weekend warrior-ing” on hikes or nature walks, sitting in coffee shops or bookstores reading history or science fiction, or working hard in the gym.
