As a licensed Certified Public Accountant, former corporate governance executive, and former internal and external auditor, Hope Robinson understands the complex issues companies and individuals face in corporate and securities matters.

Hope draws on her experiences in business and corporate governance to assist clients with a full range of transactional matters. She handles corporate and securities matters, corporate governance and compliance, and mergers and acquisitions, leveraging her extensive knowledge of financial statements, SEC compliance, and the financial considerations and consequences of various business transactions.

Before law school, Hope spent more than a decade working in the areas of audit and corporate governance. She started her career at a Big Four accounting firm, where she planned, staffed, and led integrated audits of financial statements and internal controls for SEC registrants and privately held companies, in addition to reviewing SEC filings and financial statements for compliance with SEC and US GAAP requirements. Hope also worked in internal audit at a publicly traded manufacturing company and a Fortune 100 telecommunications company where she led a variety of Sarbanes-Oxley (“SOX”), financial, and operational audits, in addition to advisory reviews and fraud investigations.

Immediately before attending law school, Hope was the executive of a corporate governance function for a Fortune 20 publicly traded pharmacy benefits manager where she oversaw the company’s SOX compliance, advised leadership on critical internal control matters and process improvements, and was a member of the finance integration planning team for a $54 billion acquisition. Hope has been praised for her ability to provide concise and digestible explanations of complex issues and processes, along with practical, tailored advice.

During law school, Hope served as a rule 13 student attorney in the St. Louis University School of Law Entrepreneurship and Community Development transactional clinic, where she performed legal services and provided advice to non-profit organizations and small businesses related to entity formation, tax exemptions, and governance. She also worked as a corporate legal intern for a publicly traded reinsurer where she reviewed commercial contracts and drafted certain SEC filings.

I enjoy playing video games, including my favorites from the Sonic the Hedgehog and Tom Clancy’s The Division series; watching cartoons, movies, and shows from the DC Comics Universe; and constructing Lego sets primarily with Disney, video game, superhero, and automotive themes. I am also a car enthusiast and hope to obtain an SCCA racing license.
