Jenny Ecklund has spent 20 years leading trial teams that obtain favorable results and trial verdicts in a variety of cases, including health care disputes, fraud and defamation claims, and civil RICO litigation. Her practice also includes extensive work in support of the rights of marginalized communities in constitutional law matters.

Jenny’s significant experience includes white-collar fraud litigation and investigations within the securities, health care, tax and mortgage industries. She is recognized as a staunch advocate and talented litigator in the realm of reproductive justice and the constitutional rights of women, LGBTQ+ people, and marginalized groups, focusing on First Amendment issues, due process rights, and equal protection under the law.

Jenny was previously a trial attorney for the U.S. Department of Justice’s Tax Division, representing the United States before federal district and bankruptcy courts, focusing primarily on civil tax fraud. She is also a recognized leader on issues related to securities fraud, investor fraud and resulting receiverships, and served as a receiver for the SEC.

In a major pro bono effort covered by The New York Times, The Atlantic, ProPublica and CBS News, Jenny represented numerous sexual assault survivors in a federal class action in Austin, Texas, challenging the state’s unconstitutional failures in investigating and prosecuting sexual assaults. The case and related advocacy has led to the formation of a Statewide Sexual Assault Survivor Task Force in the Texas Governor’s Office, and a statewide audit of police investigations and prosecutorial outcomes. A documentary following the case, titled “An Army of Women” premiered at South by Southwest in 2024.

I enjoy traveling as much as possible, reading fiction, following the Indigo Girls around the country (and sometimes beyond), and spending time with our four kids and three big dogs.
