In her corporate practice, Suzanne Krause provides practical solutions in the process of negotiating and finalizing commercial contracts.
She has broad-based experience with respect to contract negotiations and understands the significance of key contractual provisions including representations and warranties, covenants, pricing and payment terms, indemnification, intellectual property ownership, limitations on liability, and force majeure. Her experience with a wide variety of contract matters allows her to help customize the best solutions to protect clients’ interests and goals.
Suzanne has helped business owners navigate the application process and subsequent IRS communications related to the employee retention tax credit. Those issues include preparing forms and interacting with the IRS, making recommendations on next steps when receiving notice of ineligibility, and handling the process of correcting or withdrawing a claim. She also has experience working with colleges and universities in responding to borrower defense to repayment applications from student loan holders.
Suzanne previously spent a decade as a prosecutor with the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office, where she tried hundreds of cases including jury and bench trials.
